In this sidemount diving course you will learn everything you need for recreational sidemount diving with one or two tanks to a maximum depth of 30 meters or to your certification depth, whichever is deeper. An Indoordiver is a diver who makes his first dives in a swimming pool or a specially designed diving pool. The Indoordiver course teaches the basics of diving under controlled conditions before going into open water. Upon successful completion, the diver receives a certificate that qualifies them for certain dives in confined water. What is an indoor diver course? An indoor diver course is a diving course that takes place in a controlled environment such as a swimming pool or indoor diving center. The course teaches the basic diving skills and knowledge required for safe diving. Difference to Open Water Diver: The main difference to the Open Water Diver course is that all dives in the Indoor Diver course take place in a swimming pool or an artificial body of water, rather than in open water. After completing the Indoor Diver course, you can usually dive with a buddy or under the supervision of an instructor to a certain depth (often 18 meters) in confined waters. Additional open water dives are often required to obtain full open water certification. Benefits of an indoor diver course: Safety: The course provides a safe learning environment without the risks of waves, currents and other uncertainties of open water. A Referral Diver is a beginner diver who has completed the theory and pool/limited open water training for the SSI Open Water Diver program, but wishes to complete the open water dives at another SSI Dive Center or at a later date. This type of course allows you to complete the training in two parts, often with the theory and pool exercises in one country and the open water dives on vacation in warmer waters

Join an Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty program if you want to shorten your surface intervals and extend your dive time. You'll spend more time exploring your favorite dive sites instead of waiting! The program expands your diving knowledge to include the safe planning of dives with enriched air mixtures up to 40% oxygen. After completing the course you will receive an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification for 32% or 40%.

If you can't decide which specialty programs are best for you, join the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver program! You will try Deep Diving and Navigation as well as 3 other specialty areas before deciding on a full specialty training. It's a great way to experience what Advanced Open Water Diver training is all about and how valuable it can be for your diving adventures. During the Advanced Open Water Diver program you will learn about 5 different specialties by completing one open water training dive per specialty after a detailed briefing with your SSI Instructor. With this program, you have complete freedom to explore everything. You can complete the entire specialty training at any time and receive credit for your Advanced Open Water Diver training.

This specialty course provides you with the knowledge and advanced skills you need to navigate safely and confidently underwater. You will learn the correct use of the compass, natural navigation techniques, estimating distances, leaving and returning to a given point and simple navigation patterns. You will also learn how to combine navigation techniques to optimize your diving experience. All of this will sharpen your underwater observation skills, increase your diving safety and help you get the most out of every dive. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Navigation Specialty certification.

Night dives require very different skills than daylight dives. The SSI Night Diving & Limited Visibility Specialty course is the best way to learn all about night diving and practice the techniques required to make you a safe and confident night diver. This course will give you all the knowledge and skills to dive safely and relaxed at night or in limited visibility conditions. In a balanced mix of online learning and open water dives, you will learn how to use special equipment, the correct entry and exit techniques and how to communicate with your dive buddy at night and in limited visibility. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility Specialty certification and be ready to dive into the dark with confidence.

Instructor Seminar

With this program you will become a successful SSI Instructor: it provides you with the necessary skills, teaching concepts and practical experience. You will learn all about our innovative digital learning system and our training philosophy. You will learn how to support other instructors in running programs and learn how to teach a variety of SSI programs independently. All candidates who complete this program receive SSI Assistant Instructor status. You can also work your way up to SSI Open Water Instructor after successfully completing the program.

An Assistant Instructor Trainer prepares the Assistant Instructor for their theoretical instruction and practical training in the water. As an Assistant Instructor Trainer you are also qualified to assist an Instructor Trainer, giving you valuable experience on your way to becoming an Instructor. Once you are ready, you can complete the Instructor Training Seminar and become an SSI Instructor Trainer. Start your journey today to train the instructors of tomorrow.

This course is designed for experienced divers, photographers, underwater archaeologists and dive leaders. The aim is to learn techniques and skills to be able to help yourself outside the buddy system. The aim of the course is not to go diving alone. Rather, we discuss various diving techniques and the increased demands on your equipment together and put these into practice. We teach this course with a maximum of two students. You do the open water lessons 1 to 1 with your instructor.

The SSI Basic Diver course teaches you the skills and knowledge to dive with an SSI Professional to a depth of 12 meters. It's a great way to discover even more of the underwater world on your way to becoming a diver. If you decide to take the next step in your diving adventure within 6 months and complete a Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver course, your Basic Diver course will be fully credited.
