Whether you’re a veteran of diving Phuket for many years, or never yet experienced the magical world beneath the waves, we’re here to provide all the dive courses, fun-diving day trips, and similans liveaboards that you’re looking for while you’re in Phuket. Oceanic is run by a family of divers, and we’ve been teaching and guiding diving Phuket since 2007, catering to divers of all abilities, and keeping our Phuket diving school personal, professional, honest and knowledgeable. “More a club than a dive shop“ is the most common comment we get from our scuba divers, who come back to Phuket year after year, and send their family and friends to experience the very best diving Phuket has to offer.

We are your one-stop-shop for all things scuba in Phuket, with something for everyone. Many of our regular, experienced divers came to learn to dive in Phuket with Oceanic many years ago, and they’re still coming back. That longevity and continuity has given us the edge in knowing what will benefit our divers the most, in a scuba club atmosphere. We offer all of the scuba courses you need, without the hard sell you’ll get at the big diver training schools in Phuket. We offer the full range of Try Scuba, Discover Scuba Diving, Open Water diver, on to specialty courses, to take you all the way from absolute beginner divers, to dive professionals. If you’re looking for fun diving in Phuket, you’ll get the most fun out of an itinerary that we will tailor-make for you, based on the current conditions, your diving experience and your scuba diving expectations. From local shore dives, to day trip boat diving, to Similans liveaboard diving, we’ve been picking the best for our divers since 1999.

Frequently Serviced Dive Sites

Hobo-Ya Phuket, 83130 Phuket

★★★★☆ Kata Beach North Reef

Kata Beach North Reef divers can avoid expensive boat trips to remote destinations throughout the diving season as this site is close and easy to get to. Different creatures move into different areas at different times; no two dives on Kata are ever the same.

★★★★☆ King Cruiser

King Cruiser is rated as one of the best wreck dive sites in Asia, certainly Thailand. Having sank on May 4th in 1997 this is an amazing wreck dive sitting at over 30m, the top of the wreck is now around 18m. Suitable for Advanced and technical divers. Large Schools of fish and beautiful coral.

Palm Beach Divers Co., Ltd, 81150 Krabi

★★★★★ Koh Bida Nok

This is one our favourite dive sites since it has the widest range of wildlife. The reef gently slopes down from the island apart from the wall at the south west which drops 22-26 meters.

Sea Bees Diving, 83130 Phuket

★★★★☆ Racha Yai, Homerun Reef

Homerun Reef is just north of Bay 1. A good alternative to the wrecks and concrete cubes around the main part of the bay. There is a small speedboat wreck at around 23m, just off the main reef. This is a good site for drift diving. It’s mostly large rocks, rubble and hard corals. Diving depth is 10-25 meters.

Sea Bees Diving, 83130 Phuket

★★★★☆ Racha Yai, Bay 1

Bay 1 is located on the east side of Racha Yai Island. There are three wrecks to be explored at this dive site. Depths are between 5-25 meters and the white sandy beach is calm.

Sea Bees Diving, 83130 Phuket

★★★★☆ Shark Point

Shark Point is one of Phuket’s most popular dive sites. The three pinnacles of the Shark Point break the surface in a small area. The rest is submerged and covered in soft and hard corals. This is a great drift dive. You can frequently spot leopard sharks and bamboo sharks here, hence the name.

Hobo-Ya Phuket, 83130 Phuket

★★★★☆ Racha Yai, Bungalow Bay

Bungalow Bay is a calm dive site and very good for beginners, try scuba, and open water students. Depth ranges from 5-20 meters. There is no current or waves. An artificial reef is built here as well.

Palm Beach Divers Co., Ltd, 81150 Krabi

★★★★★ Viking Cave

Viking Cave has a striking bay and a beautiful cave above the water, but the real deal is underwater a few hundred meters to the north of Viking Cave. A few years ago, the Phuket Marine Conservation department put down a beautiful artificial reef to re-establish marine life after the tsunami.
