Of all the advances in recreational diving, perhaps none is as far-reaching and game-changing as the introduction of Enriched Air Nitrox.What is Enriched Air Nitrox?Enriched Air Nitrox, EANx, Nitrox, Enriched Air, generally these terms are all used interchangeably by divers. Nitrox is a special blend of air where the oxygen content is higher than the 21% we find in regular compressed air. This reduces the amount of nitrogen in the mix, and therefore extends our no decompression limits. During the SSI Basic Diver program, you will learn the basics of diving theory before your first dive in the ocean. We keep this informal and relaxed, while still making sure you're fully informed and ready to go diving! The minimum age for the SSI Try Scuba Diving program is 10 years old, and your maximum depth will be 12m (40 feet). You'll be doing a real dive at a dive spot that's popular with the most experienced divers. Meet nemo, butterfly fish, batfish, lion fish and many, many more species, and be back at your hotel by lunchtime.
