Himmafushi Corner is a drift dive, best suited for divers with a lot of experience as this dive is deep and can have strong currents. The corner slopes from 5 to 30m and after that comes to a small drop off to 45/50m. This dive should only be conducted during the incoming current.
Probably one of the best Thilas in the whole North Male area. There are several pinnacles on the north of the Thila, where the main fish are, along with beautiful coral formations and sea fans. Wonderful dive for experienced divers due to the strong current.
This dive site has many names, Fish Tank, Fish Factory, Stingray City and they all fit! There is actually a fish factory on the island and this is the reason why there are so many rays and moray eels.

This “Thila” is in the middle of the kandooma kandu. From 2000 to 2009 this dive site was ranked world 10th place of shark diving. The top of the reef is full of hard corals. The sides of the “Thila” are covered with soft corals. The currents are strong here and highly recommend for Advanced and Nitrox divers.
This cleaning station is located quite far (6.5km from Rasdhoo, 25mins by normal boat) inside the north channel of the atoll. The cleaning station is at just 12m depth and surrounded by a sandy bottom, making it perfect to kneel down at a distance to watch the manta ray cleaning show.
Your best dive at Cocoa Corner will be when the northeast incoming ocean current hits this Atoll, which then only requires you a minimal fin kick to cruise along. This can be a long drift or a short drift dive. Make sure you do not miss the corner. An ideal spot for a early morning dive to see hammerhead sharks.
The dive site is of round shape and can be defined as a classical Maldivian thila – a submerged pinnacle. The top reef is located at 4 meters which makes it easy to descent to for all experience levels.
