Become a dive instructor and live your passion. To join the SSI Instructor Training Course (ITC) you must be a certified dive master or have an equivalent qualification. This comprehensive programme is part of the two-stage approach to SSI Instructor Training. It starts with a combination instructor training course supported by in-depth digital learning. On successful completion of the ITC, you will undertake an Instructor Evaluation (IE) to become an SSI Open Water Instructor. As a certified instructor, you will be able to independently teach SSI's core programmes such as Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue and Dive Guide. Need more time or want to gain practical experience before becoming a full instructor? You can do the assistant instructor part as an independent step. As a nitrox diver, you can increase your bottom times and safety margins, and shorten your surface intervals - so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this program, you will learn new skills and improve your diving knowledge while learning how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you will be SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certified.

The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue special programme teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn to recognise stress, prevent accidents and learn practical rescue and emergency techniques. Through a combination of pool and open water exercises, you will become well prepared and confident in handling emergencies and rescues. Upon completion, you will be certified as an SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty.
