The course will be held as a webinar
Nitrogen is the regulating factor in all recreational diving, as you already know from your Open Water Diver course. Nitrox refers to all gases with an oxygen content of more than 21%. The higher proportion of oxygen reduces the nitrogen content in the breathing gas, puts less strain on the body and significantly shortens your desaturation times.
This means that you can significantly extend your no-decompression times at certain depths or dive with a greater safety reserve if you continue to use your "regular" no-decompression times. As many diving centers around the world now offer "Nitrox for free", you can significantly increase your fun factor as there are no additional costs for a special gas mixture. However, you will need this special certification to obtain nitrox.
The SSI Enriched Air Nitrox course provides you with the necessary knowledge in the area of planning and using Nitrox to be able to dive with this gas mixture up to 40%. In addition, you will also learn how to obtain these gases at the base, what safety measures apply to obtaining Nitrox and how to analyze the gas.
This specialty is also ideal for the winter months to bridge this time with diving.
