A thriving coral reef system. RAHUL The Wall (★4.5) The Wall is a good site for deep dives and is easily assessable from Havelock. A great site for fun dives and training courses. This site must be dived early in the morning due to passenger ferries. Scubapro Red Pillar / Peel Island Reef (★4.4) Also known as Red Pillar, this small dive site is located just off the Peel Island. Because it is in the channel it can sometimes experience some strong current, but this makes for a energetic dive. Aqualung Lighthouse (★4.5) Peel Light House is a mysterious and spherical dive site with a titanic red-light house amidst pastel-grey sands on all sides. During the full moon and new moon, we can experience the gushing force of strong currents here. Wild Blue Diving, 628003 tamilnadu Dicksons Pinnacle (★4.7) A visit to Havelock island is not complete without at least one dive at Dixon’s Pinnacle. The pinnacles were discovered years ago by a local Andaman instructor called Dickson and since then the site has been the one of the most popular dive sites around Havelock. Mares Pilot Reef (★4.4) Pilot Reef is a fairly large, shallow reef surrounded by sand. The main attraction of Pilot Reef is a family of resident leopard sharks who can often be found on the sandy patches surrounding the coral. SSI Service Center India, 400709 Navi Mumbai Jonny’s Gorge (★4.8) Johnny’s Gorge is one of the most spectacular dive sites around Havelock. It is named after an Andaman local, a Karen, who discovered the dive site many years ago. It is a deep dive site well suited for advanced divers. Mares, Janez Kranjc Nemo Reef (★4.3) Nemo Reef, being literally on our doorstep, is our house reef and is definitely the best site in the Havelock for newbies to have their first scuba diving experience. Aqualung Eco Diver (★4.7) This shallow reef is part of the continuous fringing reef that runs along the north eastern coast of Havelock Island. It is the house reef for centers close by. Continental Scuba, 744211 Havelock Island, Andaman & Jeep Wreck (★4.3) Located on the right side of Nemo Reef, this dive site has a Mahindra Commander Jeep submerged as an artificial reef. At a maximum depth of only 6 - 8 metres, it is suitable for any kind of dive. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Turtle Beach (★4.4) Turtle Beach is a shallow dive site with a long, continuous reef on one side and gradually sloping sand slopes on the other. Its is abundant with a variety of coral species. It leads to Aquarium, another amazing drift dive on most days. Turtle Beach itself can be a rewarding Macro or Training dive site. DIVEIndia Neil, 744104 Shaheed Dweep Bus Stop (★4.5) Characterized by a captivating expanse, the site is settled with a gentle slope dispersed with small reefs and rocks on a sandy bottom. The pockets of dispersed rocks serve as a pristine habitat for fish and create a dramatic stage for divers to experience both micro and macro life forms. Mares, Janez Kranjc I-95 (★4.3) Named after the famous highway in the United States, this site stretches long. The best way to dive the site is drifting with the current and getting the boat to pick you up. Mares, Janez Kranjc Barren Island (★4.9) This dive site is located around the island of the only active volcano in India. The dive sites have lava rock formations that give it a very distinct look. From black sand to a purple haze, with live corals, this site is definitely world-class and is also very rarely visited. Scubapro MV Mars (Wreck) (★4.2) A small but interesting wreck, this is a small fishing boat that sank during a storm in 2006 and went down on a sandy bottom just off the reef, in 16 metres of water. The boat stands upright, tilting slightly to the port side. 12...4→
