Perfect for freediving, scuba diving, and snorkeling as well. Maldives Passions, 08090 Maafushi Kandooma Thila (★4.5) This “Thila” is in the middle of the kandooma kandu. From 2000 to 2009 this dive site was ranked world 10th place of shark diving. The top of the reef is full of hard corals. The sides of the “Thila” are covered with soft corals. The currents are strong here and highly recommend for Advanced and Nitrox divers. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Soyak Wreck (★4.3) In front of Salang, in the deepest part of Soyak Island, are two wooden wrecks covered with soft and hard coral. You must have a deep diver certification. Eagle Divers, Sharm El- Sheikh Woodhouse Reef (★4.4) Fun drift dive from the boat, Woodhouse is the longest of the 4 main reefs in the Straits of Tiran. Currents can be strong. There is a split in the middle of the reef and care needs to be taken towards the end of the reef where a washing machine effect can sometimes be present. The reef is fabulously colorful! Amed Jepun Divers, 80852 Amed, Karangasem Liberty Coral Garden (★4.5) There is a garden of anemones and about 60 statues on the far right side of the dive site. This is a nice second dive in the morning to get away from the crowds at Liberty Wreck. Entry and exit from the beach can be difficult. SIGALA DIVING SCHOOL, 88000 EILAT Achziv Canyon קניון אכזיב (★4.6) The Achziv Canyon is a long wall stretching from north to south parallel to the shore line, about 1km from shore. It starts at 10 meters (30 feet) deep and drops to 30 meters (100 feet). Scubapro Masaplod North (★4.3) Sloping reef combination of Mac diving and reef dive. Reef ball and artificial reef in the shallow. Type: Coral and soft coral reefMax Depth: Approximately 24 meters (80 feet)Skill Level: Open Water Diver and above. Entry: Shore entry. Current: Generally mild; occasional medium currents suitable for drift diving Mares Shark Airport (★4.5) The sloping, terrace-like area of the reef, found at 20 meters, is the highlight of this dive site. This is where several whitetip reef sharks can be spotted all at once. This dive site is very remote and only accessible by a liveaboard boat. Mares, Janez Kranjc Ras Sawt (★4.2) Ras Sawt is located to the north of the Dibba port of Oman, just 8 min away. Easy dive site, shallow waters, great for beginners to advance. Also nice for Snorkeling and Night Diving. Depth: 3–18 meters. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Batu Mumbang (★4.5) Location: Small rock island - 3mins boat drive on the North East point of Juara Bay; Depth18m; Current: Sometimes there is a mild current; Site: Two rocky islands to breach the surface water descending to the sandy bottom bay at 18m. The site has large boulder corals, rocky coral scape, overhangs, and small walls. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Hardeep Wreck (SS Suddhadib) เรือจมสุทธาทิพย์ (★4.1) The Wreck of the Steamship Suddhadib, or commonly known as Hardeep Wreck, is the most famous dive site in Samaesarn. This old steam cargo ship was bombed and sunk on 1 June 1945 during WWII. She lies on her starboard side at a depth of 27 meters. Scubapro Lekuan 1 (★4.5) Located in the middle of the coral triangle at Bunaken National Park, this dive site is a wall dive thriving with marine life like beautiful corals, sponges, and more! Perfect for freediving, scuba diving, and snorkeling as well. Mares Ao Khai, Koh Chan อ่าวไข่, เกาะจาน (★3.9) This dive site is approx. 40 mins from Samaesan fishing village away. An easily accessible site suitable for snorklers and entry level divers, the reef starts at just 3m and the maximum depth is around 15m. Scubapro Shelter Cove (★4.4) Used for open water courses. Depth range 3m to 12 m. Sandy bay with a small swim-through going to Coral Garden. Plate and whip coral as you go deeper. Mares Koh See ,Ko Lao Pe (★4.1) popular for snorkeling and diving. It’s known for two large, shallow coral gardens and deeper areas with walls and sea fans. Depths typically reach 18m, with moderate currents. Visibility can vary, but it’s a great spot for both beginners and macro enthusiasts. SSI Service Center India, 400709 Navi Mumbai Whitehouse Rock (★4.5) A unique dive that teems with marine life on a seamount rising from the bottom at 40 metres to almost all the way up to the surface. A thriving coral reef system. Mares Rasdhoo North Channel (★4.5) North Channel on the north/north-east side of Rasdhoo Atoll. The channel is relatively shallow and with average depth of 20 m is suitable for competent open water divers. The current can get quite strong here, so choosing the right time to visit is important. Amed Jepun Divers, 80852 Amed, Karangasem Ghost Bay (★4.5) One minute from the closest dive center, Ghost bay is another great macro dive site, paradise for photographers by day and by night. A rock shaped area is habitat for crazy critters! Mares, Janez Kranjc KK Beach (★3.8) Teluk KK is the name of both the dive side and the bay of the beach. The site is accessible through the shore and boat. The sandy bottom starts from the beach and extends to 12m. There are reefs of staghorns and some artificial reefs made of PVC pipes at the bottom. Perfect dive site for beginners and snorkelers. Hobo-Ya Phuket, 83130 Phuket Racha Yai, Lucy’s Reef (★4.4) Lucy’s Reef is a reef from Bay 3 to Bay 4 on Ratchayi Island, heading south. This is a great opportunity for you to dive in the deep water. As you swim toward Bay 4, you can see coral beds and other coral formations in the rocky area around the south end of Bay 3. If the current is strong, you may be able to reach from Bay 3 to Bay 4 in no time. Mares Koh Kham (★3.9) The small island of Ko Kham offers a beautiful underwater park for divers of all abilities to enjoy. This small island sits just to the west of Koh Samaesarn. The warm, clear water and white beaches attract nature lovers year round. Aqualung Tanjung Basi (★4.2) Tanjung Basi locates at the Northernmost Tip of Perhentian Besar. The reef sits at 15-20m depth, and current can be strong at times. This is the primary site in Perhentian for deep diving activities, with massive boulders, overhangs, and swim throughs offers an interesting opportunity for divers to explore. Mares Perhentian Tokong Laut (★4.4) Tokong Laut, or Tukun Laut, is a pinnacle located off Susu Dara Besar. It is considered the ultimate dive site around the Perhentians, with a myriad of Hard and Soft Coral around the sloping wall of the pinnacle. Current can be strong, and descents are usually deep except for a few spots. Mares Tanjung Parigi (★4.4) Located in the middle of the coral triangle at Bunaken National Park, this dive site is a wall dive thriving with marine life like beautiful corals, sponges, and more! Perfect for freediving, scuba diving, and snorkeling as well. Mares Mandolin (★4.5) Located in the middle of the coral triangle at Bunaken National Park, this dive site is a wall dive thriving with marine life like beautiful corals, sponges, and more! Perfect for freediving, scuba diving, and snorkeling as well. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Paku Kechil (★4.1) Accessible by a 2-minute boat ride from Long Beach, the entry point is approximately 7–9 meters, and the depth is 18–20 meters. This sloping dive site is full of coral with sandy areas at 18 meters. The end point is a rocky area. Also suitable at high or low tide. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Bill's Bumps (★4.5) Bill’s Bumps located in the west wall of Fahal Island, its about 30 minutes boat ride. If you continue diving in shallow water by the wall you can find tunnels and holes and go inside. iDIVE Komodo, 86554 Labuan Bajo Tatawa Kecil (★4.7) Tatawa Kecil is another great dive site in central Komodo National Park for those who love and know currents. As currents can be very strong, this dive spot is for experienced divers only. This spot offers great visibility, pelagic fish, small creatures, and a beautiful coral reef. Mares Mantas and More (★4.5) This is a top dive site in this area, located to the east of Mulee Island. During the season from December to May, it is possible to spot manta rays with their offspring, busying themselves around the numerous cleaning stations at 10 - 15 meters. The gentle slope from 15 - 30 meters is adorned with coral formations. Aqualung Maaya Thila, North Ari Atoll (★4.5) Once this dive site was on the top 10 best in the world. Due to this rating many divers dived this site and specially at night. The damage on the top of this Thila (diver error) is bad, but as from 12m acceptable. At night many giant trevally and some white tips hunting. Sub Oceanic at Hilton Maldives Amingiri, 20188 North Male Atoll Bandos Rock (★4.4) Bandos Rock is located on the house reef of Bandos Island Resort. The top reef starts at 3 to 5 meters and drops (rather steeply) to a sandy bottom at 30+ meters. You will find several caves and interesting overhangs on the wall. Enjoy the large table corals, the pinnacle and a canyon. Sea Turtle Divers, 82220 Phang Nga Koh Bon, North Ridge (★4.2) Nice shallow area for diving with a slightly sloping reef. You can swim from the North Ridge over the West Ridge and into the bay. Currents are usually weak to moderate. Mares Tanjung Kopi (★4.2) Located in the middle of the coral triangle at Bunaken National Park, this dive site is a wall dive thriving with marine life like beautiful corals, sponges, and more! Perfect for freediving, scuba diving, and snorkeling as well. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Raymond’s Point (★4.5) Located in the middle of the coral triangle at Bunaken National Park, this dive site is a wall dive thriving with marine life like beautiful corals, sponges, and more! Aqualung Pura Vida House Reef (★4.4) In this amazing Macro diving spot, you will find a couple of boats and cars that were sunk in the muck created a very interestiy dive site on the beautiful black sand Amed Jepun Divers, 80852 Amed, Karangasem Kubu Reef (★4.4) Great and easy dive site. Access from beach. Beautiful corals and contrast with black sand on the bottom. Perfect dive after Boga Wreck. Good for all levels. Aqualung North Point (★4.3) A beautiful dive to see lots of colorful nudibranchs along the wall. Watch your gauges on the wall to make sure you do not go too deep. Careful, the current can be quite strong during high tide. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Juara Bay South (★4.0) Location: Shore dive located at the southern point of Juara beach. Depth: 18m. Current: Surge from waves can be present. Site: Sandy bottom bay that leads into a gently sloping coral reef to 18m, large coral boulders and river rock areas. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Bodu Hithi / Kuda Thila (★4.4) This site is known well for its manta cleaning station and feeding ground. Here, between December and April, manta rays come for cleaning or plankton feeding. This spot is great for diving and snorkeling. Mares, Janez Kranjc Leo point (★4.5) This popular dive site is located 5 minutes east of Nabucco Island. Terraced slope with a sandy plateau at about 27-30 meters, then drop off. Dive with left shoulder to the reef. iDIVE Komodo, 86554 Labuan Bajo Sebayur Kecil Komodo (★4.6) Sebayur Kecil is a sloping reef. This dive spot is suitable for beginners and those looking to refresh their skills as well as for snorkelers. Usually no to light current is present. Great dive site for searching for small inhabitants, yet deeper down divers can spot different sharks. Marius D. (#1574909) Fish Head (★4.6) Fish Head Thila was formerly known for its enormous population of grey reef sharks. Now it depends on luck, season and the current to see them. The reef plate starts at about 10 meters depth and there can be currents. Fast descent required. Peter S. (#417559) Kuda Rah Thila (★4.6) A stunning underwater pinnacle just minutes away from the island of Kuda Rah. This dive site has been declared a protected marine area. The dive site is better for Advanced certified divers and those who are experienced with a bit of current. Nitrox is recommended. Mares, Janez Kranjc Five Rocks (★4.4) This dive site is quite unique in the fact that the pinnacle has split into five pieces over thousands of years of erosion. The pieces of pinnacle lay at depths of between 12m and 40m. Gregor K. (#2893197) Moofushi Kandu (★4.5) Moofushi Kandu is one of the prime channels in the Maldives to observe Grey Reef Sharks, Mantas, Eagle Rays and other big fellows. The channel entrance has a depth of 40 to 50 Meters. Crossings are only available at moderate currents Peter S. (#417559) Maamigili Beyru (★4.2) Dive site right on the corner of Maamigili Island at the southern end of the Ari Atoll, which also has an airport. Outer reef slowly sloping down to approx. 10 m, then more or less steep wall up to over 40 meters with smaller overhangs and crevices. Depending on the current, right or left shoulder along the reef. Mares Velassaru Cave (★4.2) Velassaru Caves is a beautiful spot on the outside reef of south Male Atoll’s northern tip. The name is given by the dive site location in combination with several overhangs spreading from depth levels between 10 to 30 meters. Mares Clement Reef (★4.4) Located North to North West of Sepanggar Island, this dive site is a slopping bottom with diverse hard coral and is only accessible via boat. Visibility is often very clear at this dive site due to its strategic location between Sepanggar mainland and Sepanggar Island. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Bathalaa Thila (★4.4) Bathala Thila is a submerged pinnacle east of the resort island Bathala Island. The reef top is about 40 m long and begins at a depth of about 6–10 m.
