The good news is that Northern Egypt also has some diving areas and sites to explore. There are a few diving centres which operate in this area and there are also liveaboards which depart from this area, or visit this area. Sinai peninsula is located in Egypt, in between the Mediteraean sea and the Red Sea. This is a desert area, which is the perfect contrast with the flourishing life that the Red Sea provides in this area. Sinai diving means variety, species large and small, atmospheres for each type of diver and so much more. Sharm El Sheik, the southernmost city in Sinai, is a popular resort and diving destination. An hour north you reach Dahab, a quiet, colourful town which attracts scuba divers, freedivers and snorkelers alike. The next stop towards the north of the peninsula is Nuweiba; beach huts, relaxation and connecting with nature, is what attracts people here. The last stop on the journey north along the coast here is Taba, the small but bustling town which is located at the border of Egypt with Israel. All the locations here are vastly different but all have one thing in common; they are spectacular dive areas which show off the full beauty that the Red Sea has to offer. These areas have a variety of types of diving which the dive centres and dive resorts have to offer including boat diving, shore diving, tec diving and diving courses, types of topography and type of diving atmosphere. There is something for everyone wanting to go diving in Sinai; this gem of a coast. There are also numerous liveaboards which work in this area, and even for a longer liveaboard, divers will never get bored or disappointed by the vibrant life of this region of the Red Sea.
