Recreational Sidemount Diving

Extended Range Sidemount Diving

Exploring underwater environments such as deep caves and large wrecks is an exciting undertaking. However, it can be difficult to fit traditional diving equipment into the tight spaces found in these areas. Improving fluidity by using a sidemount configuration frees up adventurous divers to explore tighter spots than ever before. The Extended Range Sidemount program trains you in the correct installation of a sidemount and the techniques required to effectively use multiple cylinders carried for decompression diving in a sidemount configuration. You'll receive SSI Extended Range Sidemount certification after completing this program, and can then apply this configuration to all other XR programs.
