Mexico borders the USA to the north, the Pacific Ocean to the south and west, Guatemala, Belize and the Caribbean Sea to the southeast, and the Gulf of Mexico to the east. Playa del Carmen is located on the Mexican Caribbean coast, the so-called Riviera Maya, 70 km south of Cancún airport. The small, family-run hotel with its beautiful pool area is located in the middle of Playa del Carmen and despite its proximity to the center, it is very quiet and invites you to relax. The beach, many restaurants, bars, stores and supermarkets are just a few minutes' walk away. The Spanish word "cenote" originally comes from the Mayan word "dznot" and means "sacred water". The Yucatan Peninsula is basically a huge sponge soaked full of the clearest fresh water. Cenotes have been formed by the dissolution of limestone, creating caves and underground watercourses. Visibility of over 100 meters can be achieved, making diving an unforgettable experience. In many caves, salt water is pushed in from the sea and from a depth of 10 meters a layer forms between the salt water and fresh water in which the water mixes, the so-called "halocline", which appears like a surface in the water both upwards and downwards in its untouched state and conjures up a white line on the limestone when illuminated accordingly with a diving lamp! Dive into the primeval “Wandl,” experience the imposing cliff face at the “Kohlbauernaufsatz,” or let yourself be enchanted by the “Unterwasserwald Kammer”!Lake Attersee, with its outstanding topography, stunning underwater flora and fauna, and, last but not least, its excellent water quality, is a wonderful place—and not just for divers and water sports enthusiasts. Thanks to these favorable conditions, a diversity of fish species has developed here unlike in almost any other body of water in Austria. A total of 26 native fish species can be observed in their natural habitat. Night dives, in particular, offer truly extraordinary experiences.There are few places in the world where you can dive as freely and with such good organization as in Austria—but that’s not something to be taken for granted! Lake Attersee, along with the surrounding public waters of Lake Mondsee, Lake Wolfgangsee, and Lake Traunsee, is the center of Alpine diving. The often enormous number of divers led to problems and, consequently, efforts to impose restrictions and far-reaching bans; just to preserve the Attersee as a diving site, ARGE Tauchen Austria and the Dive Card had to be launched. Since then, ARGE Tauchen has been working almost daily to maintain optimal diving conditions, especially at Attersee, and one thing is certain: without ARGE Tauchen and without your support through the purchase of a Dive Card, diving in Attersee—and consequently in other public waters—would by now be severely restricted and, in many places, prohibited.

2 times a year, the 1st Vienna Fishing Museum organizes a cleaning of the Marchfeld Canal on the stretch from the Langenzersdorf area of influence to the Gerasdorf border. Afterwards, food and drink are provided as a small thank you!

The sea! Mystical, exciting, beautiful! Around two thirds of the earth's surface is covered by the sea. Logically, the sea is therefore an enormously important space for humans. It serves as a habitat, as a transportation and trade route, as a source of food or simply as a place for recreation and sport. And although the world's oceans play such an important role in human history, only around 5% of them have been explored. At the same time, the part that is already known is being excessively used and exploited to supply people all over the world with marine products, often at the expense of ecosystems and marine organisms! If that were not enough, the sea also serves directly and indirectly as a garbage can and catch basin for all kinds of pollutants. Whether heavy metals, crude oil, microplastics or any kind of waste - all of these can now be found in the world's oceans. It is clear that the sea needs our help! This exhibition deals with the topics of marine use and marine pollution in a very vivid way!

After Work is meant to be a way to end the day after work in the water and gain experience or meet new buddies. We will offer both scuba and freediving opportunities. The rental equipment can optionally be rented from us.

After an intensive week of work, we meet for a relaxed dive together at Lake Neufeldersee. The focus is not only on diving, but also on being together: a relaxed, sociable get-together with like-minded people. As a group, we spend a cozy evening with lots of laughter, good conversation and plenty of fun. Specialdive is happy to welcome anyone who would like to join us without obligation and enjoy this relaxed end to the week with us.

After closing time, we have exclusive use of the outdoor pool.We’ll meet at 6:30 p.m. at Bauer Tauchsport. We’ll set up our equipment together. We’ll then enter the pool together as soon as regular swimming hours are over.At the After Work Dive: Equipment Check, you can try out your own diving equipment in a relaxed setting right in the water and see if your setup feels comfortable.In addition, you can try out selected test equipment from Bauer Tauchsport right in the water—for example, new Mares fins and regulators, as well as XDeep Wings. The availability of individual models may vary.Afterward, there will be plenty of time for free diving, sharing experiences, and getting to know other divers.The evening is aimed at certified divers, those returning to diving, and former course participants.Important: This is not a course, a certification, or a technical service or safety check of your equipment.
