★★★★☆ Black Island “WONDERWALL“

Drop off - vis 5 to 10m. The current here is dependent on the tidal flow. This site has a high number of schools of fishes and wildlife - including soft, hard corals, anemonefish and turtles.

★★★★☆ cockatoo point

Cocktail point has a gradual dropoff and sometimes has low- strong current depending on tidal flow. Great for snorkeling along the soft coral shelf or divers to explore larger hard coral structures - approx 1m to 20m.

★★★★☆ Luncheon Bay “WEST“

Several sections of wall along with several bommies making an almost trench system to be explored with reef on either side of the diver. Some sloping down to deeper depths if required for training. Towards the end of the dive ascend on top of the bommies to for your safety stop. Good spot for white tip reef shark.

★★★★☆ Manta Ray Bay

Famous for it’s Maori Wrasse “GEORGE“, giant trevallies and batfish, this popular bay is suitable for shallow dives around a maze of bommies with the possibility of diving the outskirts 14-16m, or drop down the steep slope to 30m and maybe get lucky with some whitetip reefsharks. Checkout the Mantaray statues.

★★★★☆ Blue Pearl Bay 2

A nice layout of bommies and wall to be explored. Good for dives to 18m for training. Underwater more rocky with clear indication of cyclone debbie’s destrucitve powers- nicely re-growing reef with lots of batfish around. Possible to encounter large numbers of batfish, stingrays, and turtles.
