This is the Training Pool for UnderSea Adventures, Kennewick WA. Access needs to be pre-arranged with the Dive Shop unless you are in a Scuba Class with a designated start time.

The Pool is 20 x 48 feet, and is divided into 1 foot, 4 foot, and 12 foot deep regions. The water temperature can range from 90ºF in the summer to 60º in the winter.

King’s Corner (★4.1)

King’s Corner is fabulous! A favorite of many! The top reef line is at 55ft/17m but its sweet spot is around 60-90ft / 18-28m. You can reach another sand line at 100ft/30m. Its best to visit here when its calm because viz can be less than 40ft /11m and a current is common.

King’s Alley (★4.4)

King’s Alley is 45 to 100 feet and next to the dive site King’s Reach Reef. There is a graduated slope of coral, sponges, and various saltwater fish. This site is great for beginners to advanced due to the underwater topography. Take care in the ascent as there are many boats in the area.

Alien Nation (★4.5)

Alien Nation is out of this world! Mooring line sits at depth of 45ft/14m. Reef slopes westerly until a sandy bottom at 90ft/28m. The sweet spot here is around 50-70ft / 15-20m range.

Tide Bottle (★4.6)

Tide Bottle’s mooring line sits above a depth of 40ft/11m along a sandy reef line. Reef slopes west to 100ft/30m. Best reef & sponges are at 50-80ft/ 15-25m. Great spot to see stingrays, turtles, eels, & spear lionfish. Be aware of possible currents.

The Aquarium in St Croix (★4.6)

Aquarium Reef is a beautiful dive site that gets its name from the abundance of diverse Caribbean sea life making its home on this stretch of patchy reef. Colorful “aquarium fish” of all kinds, including juveniles, can be found here. Depth is from 30-80ft/10-25m, with a mooring line over a depth of 40ft /12m.

Tres Amigos (★4.3)

Tres Amigos is the very end of the Frederiksted Pier where you can explore the growth and fish that call the 3 large concrete columns home. The depth is 90ft/27m and its approximately 1550ft/470m from the shoreline. Its a long kick out, so best to explore from a boat.

Triton’s Anchor (★4.5)

The anchor is sitting loose on the seafloor in about 25 feet of water. It is believed that the anchor may be a small ship’s boat anchor or a small boat’s bower anchor. The date range is estimated to be 17th to 19th century.

One of the top macro dives anywhere! Scattered ruins and columns are coral encrusted and provide habitat for many types of shallow sea life. The pier is 1526ft/465m long so lots to discover with a gradual westerly decline. Perfect for snorkeling & non-certified divers too.

Cables (★4.2)

Spectacular patch reef with cables crisscrossing through coral and sponge growth. The surrounding area is mostly sandy bottom, so all of the wildlife congregates on the patch reef.

Sprat Hole (★4.7)

Sprat Hole is a shallow dive site from 25-40 ft/8-24m with a reef and sandy bottom. Its named after the nearby Sprat Hall Plantation which overlooks it from shore. Head west for a gradual decline to deeper depths of 60ft/18m. Great for beginners and non-certified divers.

Armageddon (★4.6)

Apocalyptic mayhem at 80ft/24m, remnants of the old Frederiksted pier that was destroyed in Hurricane Hugo were dumped on this site. Lots of beams, tires and twisted steel to explore. Some reef sharks get a little close on this dive. Sea floor is at 101ft/30m.

Shallow Wrecks at Butler Bay (★4.4)

Made up of four individual wrecks all resting in the sandy bottom with depths ranging from 50-90ft/15-27m. The Suffolk Maid trawler, Virgin Islander oil barge, North Wind tugboat, & Aegir Habitat cylinder. Two mooring lines are available, one on the North Wind tug & other on the Suffolk Maid trawler.

Deep Wrecks at Bulter Bay (★4.6)

The Deep Wrecks of Butler Bay rest at depths from 70-100 ft/21-30m. This site contains two shipwrecks, the Rosaomaira, a 177 ft/54m long freighter, and the Coakley Bay, an old tugboat. Ships are close to each other & sitting upright for easy exploration and photos. Mooring line is tied to the Coakley Bay.

North Star (★4.4)

West of Cane Bay, there are two profiles - east and west. To the east, it is nearly vertical in places. To the west, there are several spur and groove coral formations. This site is accessible by shore or boat. A short narrow path cut through the brush along shoreline provides access.

Emerald Gardens St Croix USVI (★3.9)

Emerald Gardens is neighbor to Cane Bay’s The Wall dive site. Its also home to Seabiscuit, carousal horse, which lies at a depth of 30ft/10m. Head north to a slope to 60ft/18m then The Wall begins and drops past recreation limits! (about 13,000 ft /3962m deep!)

Cane Bay (★4.6)

Accessible from north shore road at Cane Bay Beach. 600ft/200m kick out to buoy at depth 25ft/7.5m, steep slope to 65ft/20m, then a vertical wall dropping down to over 2,000ft/600m. It’s a beautiful dive. Sometimes reef sharks at the drop off. Be on alert if you are spearing lionfish.

French Cap Pinnacle (★4.8)

French Cap is absolutely a staff personal favorite dive site! It is close to the south drop, so there is always a surprise waiting for us; big fish and lots of them. This site is deeper than our typical sites, nearing 100 feet, and the dive takes place around a central pinnacle.

Wye Reef (★4.4)

Reef located at the Southwest corner of Buck Island/ Shipwreck Cove. This reef is formed on the rock that has fallen into the bay from the higher bluff. This dive is 30-50 feet deep depending on the route you take.

Buck Island Point (Submarine Alley) (★4.5)

Buck island point can be dived both as a stationary dive returning to the boat which would remain at the mooring, or as a drift dive into Shipwreck cove and finishing on a different mooring. The max depth is 80ft and average depth of 65ft.

Cartanza Wreck (★4.4)

Beginner wreck dive where divers will see a small shipwreck of the Cartanza, which is broken into three pieces. Max depth on the wreck is 41 feet, with option to explore deeper reef extending to 60 feet. Many divers and snorkelers enjoy shipwreck cove as it is protected from wind, and there are many moorings.

Shipwreck Cove on Buck Island is the home of Cartanza, an old naval supply ship. This shipwreck offers excitement for new and experienced scuba divers alike. Snorkelers can also enjoy the site as the ship is clearly visible from the surface.

Dive Flag Rock is a fascinating wall dive located just off of Buck Island. There are often curious Caribbean reef and nurse sharks that follow us on the dive! Keep your eyes peeled for flying spotted eagle rays and stingrays that frequent the area. Site image shows 1 of 3 available mooring balls.
