The ocean sunfish, commonly known as the Mola mola, are one of the most extraordinary fish found in the ocean. Due to their round, flattened form they are reminiscent of a millstone, called mola in Latin. Ocean sunfish are found in both temperate and tropical regions around the world. They are frequently seen near the surface, an amazing site to witness as they bask in the sun to raise their body temperature after deep ocean dives, sometimes as deep as 600 meters!

USAT Liberty Wreck (★4.6)

This is the only historical shipwreck in Bali, ranked #3 in the world for Wreck diving! The wreck is 25 meters form shore at a depth of 4 to 29 meters below the surface with most of it occuring in a shallow area. This dive site does not have strong currents, has clear water, and warm temperatures. Difficult entry!

A 25-minute boat ride down the coast, in front of Calella, there are three underwater mountains called Los Ullastres. From beginner to advanced, there is a lot to see for every diver. Beautiful steep walls with gorgonians and lots of fish are just one example. A torch is recommended.

Furio Fitó (★4.3)

After a 35 minute boat ride we reach the site Furio Fito. A plateau with an impressively beautiful steep wall overgrown with sea fans. An additional free-standing rock needle is located to the east near the reef. From time to time we come across a stronger current, so it is only suitable for experienced divers.

This dive site is located in a partially protected area of the Natural Park. Its topography with underwater mountains and waters rich in marine life make it one of the best in the park. Adaptable to all levels, even deep dives with gorgonians.

This is one our favourite dive sites since it has the widest range of wildlife. The reef gently slopes down from the island apart from the wall at the south west which drops 22-26 meters.

Marsa Shagara is a bay with an easy sand bottom entrance that leads to South or North reef dives. The depth starts at 1m and drops to 40m + outside the bay. It is one of the most pristine house reef dives in the south. This dive is great for entry level and experienced divers.

Manta Point, Sekar Kuning (★4.6)

Located in the south of Nusa Penida Island and facing the Indian Ocean, Manta Point can often have big waves. This dive site has large rock mounds which are often visited by manta rays for self cleaning, giving this site it’s name.

Shark Point, Gili Trawangan (★4.6)

An excellent site for viewing larger marine life on the north side of Gili Trawangan. A flat sandy bottom turns into a series of progressively deeper canyons that run parallel to the shore. The Glen Nusa shipwreck is located at the northern part of the site in 28m of water.

Crystal Bay, Nusa Penida (★4.4)

Located on the west-side of Nusa Penida Island, Crystal Bay has two coral reef formations separated by sand slopes. The combination of slopes and walls that form the topography at this dive site goes down to more than 50 meters and meets with large rock which is an ideal place for a cleaning station for sunfish.

Gili Biaha, Candidasa (★4.5)

This side is on a small island surrounded by rocky walls reaching more than 40 meters deep. On the eastern wall of the island there is a cave. The gate of the cave is at a depth of 12 meters and is a favorite part of this dive site.

A small bay in the west of Nusa Penida that has healthy coral in flat shallow area, followed by a slope that reaches more than 40 meters. One of the best places to spot Mola mola, or Oceanic sunfish, during the right season.

Large open bays with coral that begins growing in the shallows. As you descend you will meet large rocks covered by amazingly colored coral reefs. Toyapakeh often has strong and sometimes unpredictable currents.

MACHINE TRANSLATION: A large bar-shaped rock about 75 metres long, oriented from west to east, which offers various routes as it is surrounded by other rock formations very close to the main bass, such as the Piedra del Francés to the north or the Dos hermanas to the north-east.

SD Point (★4.6)

SD Point is an abbreviation for ‘Sekolah Dasar’ or elementary school. It’s arguably the most diverse collection of corals in Bali. Having shelf slope bottom parallel along the beach cover with abundant corals make this site is great for Drift Dive activities. Occasionally the current can be very strong.
