Assistant Instructor

The Assistant Instructor designation is the next step after becoming a Divemaster along the dive instructor pathway. It allows you to gather valuable teaching experience, train on briefs, teach academic sessions, and conduct water training. If you want to further your career as a diving professional, you can finish the Instructor Training Course, pass the Instructor Assessment, and become an Open Water Diving Instructor.

  • Minimum age 18
  • Amount of Pool/Confined Water Sessions 6
  • Minimum dives for certification 75
  • Maximum Training Depth 40m
  • Suggested duration in hours 35 - 42
  • Amount of Academic Sessions 1

Certification Prerequisites

Divemaster certification, Minimum 60 logged dives (totaling 40 hours dive time)
