Deep Diver Specialty

SSI Deep Diver Specialty

The SSI Deep Diver Specialty is designed for certified divers who want to safely explore deeper dive sites and understand the procedures involved in deep diving. This course focuses on the techniques, planning and safety considerations required when diving beyond standard recreational depths.

During the training, you will learn about deep dive planning, gas management, nitrogen narcosis awareness, dive computer use, and proper descent and ascent procedures. The course also covers safety techniques specific to deep diving, including gas monitoring, buoyancy control at depth, and emergency procedures.

The program includes three open water dives completed in one day, allowing divers to progressively explore deeper depths under the supervision of an SSI instructor. Throughout these dives, you will practice deep diving techniques while gaining confidence and experience in a controlled and safe environment.

After completing the course, divers receive the SSI Deep Diver Specialty certification, allowing them to dive to a maximum depth of 40 meters, depending on local regulations and dive center policies.
