Tombatuni Point (★4.7)

A 25 minute boat ride from Munda, this Tombatuni is an island ringed by sheer drop offs of over 500 metres into the blue waters of Blanche Channel. This wall has masses of barrel sponges, beautiful soft corals and fans, populated by an array of colourful and hard-to-find critters.

Koviki Corsair (Wreck) (★4.4)

This F4U-1 Corsair rests on the pristine white sand at 53 meters. It is fully intact with minimal coral growth due to the depth of the water. Forty to fifty-meter visibility is common, making this a phenomenal photographic subject. The dive is ended on a gentle, sloping reef.

Lola Island is the perfect confined water dive site located at Zipolo Habu Resort. This site is a gentle, sandy slope located inside of the Vona Vona Lagoon, with a maximum depth of 5m. It is often used for confined water training sessions.

Mitsubishi A6M Zero (Wreck) (★4.9)

This Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero is intact and lies at a depth of 17m on a black sandy bottom. Located approximately 45 minutes from the dive shop, this aircraft wreck is home to a huge array of marine life and is an amazing site to explore.

Sasavele Dump Site (★3.0)

A WWII dump site featuring giant steel pontoons of a former US Navy base scuttled at the end of the occupation. Assorted machinery of the war and a quantity of live ordinance scattered about the sloping wall that drops to 40m. A history enthusiast dive site 15 minutes from Munda.

Heron’s Wall (★4.3)

A recent discovery by female SSI Instructor, Euna Zio, the story goes there were Heron’s flying around (we believe her!).... Hard and soft corals to die for in the shallows. You can spot eagle rays and sharks in the blue. Stunning photo opportunities in the shallows!

An incredible site we recently re-discovered. With our Abyss dive group we were searching for new sites during a lull with a cyclone, we found calm waters and great visibility and re-named the site in honour of the dive group! Macro heaven on this stunning sea mount!

Kid Reef (★4.4)

The left of Papatura shore, underneath the pontoon is little reef system, Kid Reef. Great for learning and assessing buoyancy before heading out to deeper dives. Max depth at Kid reef is 16 meters. This site experiences bi-directional currents influenced by tidal movements.

Just off Papatura Ite, a long reef stretches out from the Island with beautiful coral. Max depth is around 17 metres so perfect for new divers and beginners. This can be 2 separate dives both having a unique diving experience

Rolly’s Reef (★4.3)

Twenty mins West of Papatura lies Rolly’s Reef. This over hanging wall is easier dived as you drift either way with the current. It is best in the morning as sun then beams onto it otherwise shady in the later on in the day. This site can experience large swell if wind is blowing towards it.

Blanche Wall (★4.6)

Twenty mins Southeast of Papatura lies Blanches Wall, a wall stretching approximately three kilometres in length. The depth ranges from three meters down to forty+ meters. This site gets bi-directional currents influenced by tidal movements. Open site can get large swell but there is always some area protected.

Dolphin wall (★4.8)

Five minutes to the west of Paptura lies Dolphin Wall, stretching approximately 300 meters in length. The depth ranges from 5 meters to 30 meters deep. This site experiences bi-directional currents influenced by tidal movements. This site is semi sheltered from large swell due to the angle but is exposed to wind.

Papatura point (★4.5)

Straight off the shore of Papatura to the right is Papatura point. This site is a long spacious reefs ranging from 5 meters deep to 18 meters. This site experiences bi-directional currents influenced by tidal movements. Can be murky if lots of rain fall has occurred.

Erik’s Encounter (★4.8)

30 minutes west of Papatura, lies Erik’s Encounter. This site is a large wall stretching for 400 meters. This site is exposed to large swell if a windy day. The sites begins at five meters and runs thirty+ meters deep. This site experiences bi-directional currents influenced by tidal movements.

G Spot (★4.8)

Twenty min boat ride west of Papatura lies G spot. This site is a bommie at 5 meters down to 30+ meters. This site is exposed so experiences large swell and current. When rough it can be hard to spot so is best on a sunny day.

Jamie’s Jungle (★4.5)

20 minutes east of Papatura lies Jamie’s Jungle. This is a bommie at five meters down to thirty+ meters. This site is exposed to large swell if high winds occur. There is often current flowing in one direction around the bommie, while there may be none on the other side. The current depends on the swell and tide.

Zuzuao Plane Wreck (★4.6)

Twenty five mins east of Papatura lies a SBD Dauntless Dive Bomber plane wreck. The plane lays on a sandy bottom at twenty three meters deep. This site is close to land but is exposed to large swell if high winds occur. This site isn’t effected by current.

Pilena Reef (★4.6)

Fifteen mins east of Papatura lies Pilena Reef. The reef begins at four meters down to twenty meters deep. This site is exposed to large swell if high winds occur. Light current can occur but this site is relatively protected underneath.

Shore dive to the sandy bottom area in front of Papatura. This site is five to eight meters deep. It is used as a training (pool like) site for new divers. Very protected, can be used all the time.

Grandma’s Garden (★4.5)

In view of Papatura, two minute boat ride away lies a bommie reef. Grandma’s garden starts at three meters down to twenty meters. Snorkelers can tag along as the reef has lots of life in the three meter area. This site experiences bi-directional currents influenced by tidal movements and sheltered from winds.

Dolphin Outer wall (★4.7)

Ten minutes to the west of Papatura lies Outer Dolphin Wall, an expansive wall stretching approximately 500 meters in length. The depth ranges 5 meters to 30 meters deep. This site experiences bi-directional currents influenced by tidal movements. This site exposed to the open ocean so can have large swell.
