
The Meteor or El Pajar wreck is the remains of a Russian hydrofoil that sank back in the early 2000’s. Seen the wreck is in the entry of a commercial port, it was destroyed in an attempt to keep the divers away. Despite this attempt, the wreck remains home to quite some wildlife.
Bahia Lila is accessible to all dive levels. Even if the dive is not accessible from the shore, it’s only at a short distance fro the shore, just outsite Balito. It guarantees a long and relaxing experience. Here you can find a long rugged wall with small caverns along the bottom.
Nice dive site where the lava rocks are corroded so the landscape looks like a little town whereas the sandy parts look as the streets. On one spot a lost fishing net stands up like a Xmas tree.
A long time ago, most fishing boats were from wood. Alexandria a the wreck of a wooden fisher boat sank in the 80s. The main beams are still there but the smaller wood parts have been consumed by the sea.
Just in front of the Anfi Del Mar harbour wall, you will find a nice circular reef at about 22 meters deep. In all the cracks there is quite some life. Typically large groups of snappers and barracudas hare surrounding the reef
Arguineguin Reef, located just outside the port of Arguineguin, is formed by a long stretched rock reef. This close-by dive location is following the border between the sandy bottom and a rocky natural volcanic reef. In the many holes and hideaways you find a large variety of sealife. Besides the different species.
The dive spot of Pasito Blanco is situated about five minutes from the sports beach in Pasito Blanco at the south of the island. The sea floor is like a rectangular morphology up to 60 meters long and 16 meters wide. A visit to Pasito Blanco to explore all the nooks and crannies can reveal a whole variety of life.
Nice little wreck of a 42foot sailboat, nicely lying on the white sand at about 30 meters deep. Mostly a relaxing dive for the more experienced divers.
