Canyon Dekel South - קניון חוף הדקל

A nice, wide canyon starting at 20 meters (60 feet) and dropping to 35 meters (115 feet) with great corals on both sides and a sandy bottom. An easy dive as the canyon is accessible from shore.

The Dekel Canyon walls are covered with hard corals that are home to a rich variety of sea life. Fish, nudibranchs, shrimp, crabs, and other animals typical to tropical seas are found here.

The Border Line, Eilat - מעבר גבול (★4.6)

One of the less visited sites, but one of the better sites in the area, Border Line is still part of the marine reserve. Entries and exits are through marked spots only. This site offers a nice drop off to recreational depths and deeper.

Neptune Table - שולחנות נפטון (★4.3)

This is a deep dive to several large stony corals found between 25 to 30 meters (75-100 feet). You can enter and exit the water from two boardwalks or from the shore. The drop is at a 60 degree angle and visibility is very good all year round.

Princess Beach - חוף הנסיכה (★4.5)

A very nice shallow dive ideal for beginners. You enter and exit from one of two boardwalks or from dedicated, well marked spots on shore. The dive takes you along the shore coral band at 4-6 meters (12-18 feet) deep.

Veronica - וורוניקה (★4.6)

A very nice shore dive full of corals. You can do a shallow dive near the shore with a max depth of 6 meters (18 feet) or a deep dive further out. There is a large shallow plain before the bottom starts dropping off at a 60 degree angle. There can be light currents in the area so check and plan accordingly.

Three Sisters - שלושת האחיות (★4.6)

Three large pinnacles (thus, 3 Sisters) are about 100 meters (300 feet) apart. All three are roughly 20 meters (60 feet) from the shore. The bottom is about 6 meters (18 feet) deep and the pinnacles rise nearly to the surface. You can enter from the north or south. It is advisable to check currents and plan accordingly.

This site drops off at a 45 degree angle starting from the shore to more than a 100 meters (300 feet) deep. The area is full of coral and sea creatures and is Ideal for deep and shallow dives. It is also a great place for night diving in the shallow area.

University - האוניברסיטה (★4.6)

The beach behind the marine campus of the university is used for experiments and is also a nice dive site for all levels of divers. There is a nice drop off that is not too steep, covered with coral at all within a recreational depth.

On the North-west corner of the red-sea, near the busy mall and touristic zone, the remains of what meant to be an underwater restaurant are an active dive site. Entry from the shore, in “Kisuski beach“, with 20 meters of dive to reach the site. The dive route is around the building, at different depths.

Japanese Garden Eilat - הגנים היפנים (★4.6)

One of the best places to dive in Eilat. Accessible by boat only, Japanese Garden is part of the marine reserve. The protected status of this site allows corals to grow and fish to thrive. There are two main dives: a shallow dive up to 15 meters (45 feet) and a deep dive up to the recreational limit.

The Protected Area - השמורה (★4.5)

A nice rich drop off with lots of coral. The main attraction is all the large stony corals, reaching diameters of 2 meters (6 feet) or more. Visibility and conditions are always good. On the way back you can visit Moshe pinnacle and Ah’aron pinnacles which are full of life and very interesting.

Tamar is an artificial reef placed in 2007. It was specifically designed to create a reef and growing bed for marine life. Located at 8 meters (24 feet) deep, it rises up to a depth of 2 meters (6 feet).

Yatush Wreck Eilat יתוש אילת (★4.6)

The Yetush is a small wreck with a nice bed of coral around it. It sits at a depth of 30 meters (100 feet). Navigation from the shore is pretty simple. You can start by swimming on the surface or submerge at the shore if you have good air consumption.

Satush, Eilat - סטוש (★4.7)

This dive combines two popular sites in Eilat, The Stail and Yetush wrecks. It is a deep dive with a long swim so good air consumption and proper air planning is required. Depending on the conditions and your diving preferences, you start the dive from the shore and go from north to south or vice versa.

Satil Eilat סטי״ל אילת (אח״י סופה) (★4.6)

The Satil is a missile ship sunk in 2008 to create a memorial site for 12 marines who died in combat. The Satil is 3 km (a little less 2 miles ) off shore at 26 meters (85 feet). Overtime, the wreck broke to three parts.

Katza Eilat קצאא אילת (★4.7)

Kattza is an inactive pier that was used for pumping oil from tankers. The site was open for diving and swimming in 2016. Over the years very nice corals have grown around the pillars holding the pier which are now full of life. You can also encounter one of the Dolphin Reef’s curious dolphins that come to visit.

Dolphin Reef is a a privately owned site and beach where a group of dolphins are being raised; however, the dolphins are free and not restricted. You can book guided dives, snorkeling, or introductory dives for uncertified divers.

Mosh Beach, Eilat - החוף של מוש (★4.4)

A very nice site with a variety of options for all levels. Beginners can do a shallow dive in the sandy area around beautiful pinnacles. More experienced divers can do deeper dives where, at 20 meters (60 feet) beautiful corals can be found.

Dekel Beach, Eilat - חוף הדקל (★4.2)

Dekel Beach is a relatively shallow dive with sandy bottom and many coral pinnacles. Most of the time the visibility is good and you can spot the pinnacles from a distance and swim to them. The depth of the pinnacles range between 3 meters (9 feet) to 12 meters (36 feet).

Pyramid - פרמידה (★4.6)

The Pyramid is an artificial reef created in 1992 consisting of 2 metal pyramids: a large pyramid with the tip reaching 18 meters (54 feet) and, inside of it, a smaller pyramid reaching 23 meters (70 feet). The sandy bottom is at 31 meters (104 feet). If diving from shore, good air consumption and navigation are required.

Sun boat and amphibian vehicles סנבואט והכלים האמפיביים (★4.5)

This site consists of a set of vehicles and metal structures sunk to create an artificial reef. The amphibious vehicles are close to the Sun Boat wreck and can be visited together or as separate dives. The visibility may not always be good but is still worth the dive.

Probably the northern most coral reef in the world, Kisosky Beach is a shallow site providing great macro opportunities around the reef near shore and around an underwater restaurant. During the weekends there are a lot of sea sports activities so extra care needs to be taken when surfacing.
