Shortfin Devil Ray

The shortfin devil ray (Mobula kuhlii) is a widely distributed mobula species found in tropical and subtropical waters of the Indo-Pacific. It is characterized by its relatively short pectoral fins, compact body, and slender tail, distinguishing it from other devil rays. This agile swimmer inhabits offshore and coastal waters, where it feeds on plankton and small schooling fish using efficient filter-feeding techniques.
