This island is located 15 minutes by boat from Gustavia. The site is located in a protected bay, allowing all levels of experience to come and enjoy this magnificent coral garden.

Many turtles are found on this site, as well as seabirds (gannets, frigatebirds, etc.) because the island is a true sanctuary. The site is a coral garden rich in color!

Alcyone, Cocos Island (★4.4)

Alcyone is an underwater mountain off Cocos Island. Strong to very strong current is always possible. Descent on the rope. There is a maximum depth of 30 meters. Great dive experience required! This is a great dive site that is always worth it as everything is possible here!

Don Juan (★3.8)

For beginners or divers who are not yet super confident, this is the perfect place to find that dive feeling, since both long sides of the reef are characterized by a large sandy area, where there are no corals to break, and from where you have a spectacular view on a shalion, lively reef.

Once the anchor is in position, we descend along the line to about 10 meters. From there you can decide whether you want remain in the shallows along the reef or follow the gravel-covered sand bottom to the deep reef at over 25 meters. Large boulders that pile up underwater and form a complete, elongated reef.

As the name suggests, this diving spot has a lot in common with an island whose tip you can see from the boat.Depending on the current, the dive goes either clockwise or counterclockwise around the island along the sandy bottom.

If you don’t have a problem with depth, you can easily dive up to 30 meters Since the reef consists of numerous separate rock formations, which are connected by sandy areas, there are endless possibilities to make this dive. Both in shallower and deeper waters.

Mali - Mali (★4.6)

The usually protruding top of the reef is not visible when we arrive at high tide. As soon as the currents have been checked and the anchor lowered accordingly, the dive starts at a depth of 13 meters. The reef is actually an underwater mountain in shape of a triangle, so we can dive around it.

Along the buoy line one descends to about 12 meters, from where the reef begins and extends to a depth of about 28 meters.

Wahoo (★4.5)

The tip of the rock protrudes from the surface of the water, which makes orientation easy both on land and underwater. Here you will find shallower, sandy areas, but also deep, steep rock faces. I recommend that you always keep a good eye on your dive computer: before you know it, you can end up at 30 meters.

The special thing about Faro is that it has both, shallower areas at the ends that allow easy entry, and a wonderful reef that descends to depths of around 30 meters, which can be explored if the current allows it. Most common to see big sharks!

Just to start a day, we can check everything and make comfortable divers here. Is part of the canales de afuera area in Coiba National Park, starts shallow and give the divers the comfort to begin the day.

In Canales de Afuera area, next to Isla Afuerita, divers find a rock in the surface that mark the entrance to two different rock formations that allow divers start in a shallow area and then go for more deep and challenging bottom.

Punta Deseo (★4.5)

Punta Deseo, which translates as Wish Point, is increasingly living up to its name. We usually drop the anchor in the sandy area of the first part of the reef at about 6 to 7 meters. DSDs or Open Water students can dive the shallow area of the reef, while everyone else can reach depths to up to 18 meters.

El secreto has a maximum depth of around 18m. The more flat bottom provides the perfect environment for smaller fish species, but its position closer to the open ocean means that sharks and other pelagic species usually show up following the currents.

Ship wreck (★4.2)

El barco is a shrimp fishing boat that got caught in a storm and is now part of the scenic bottom of the Nicoya Peninsula. It sits at approximately 30m on a bottom sand and its structure is still almost completely in place.

Reef has multiple channels that lead to caverns of multiple sizes that open into pools in the center of the reef. Anchor location is in 35-40 feet of water.

The large rock formations at Tiburon serve as both a resting and hunting place for white-tipped reef sharks. Large school of grunts, snappers and others can also commonly be found here. The dive site has a maximum depth of 15m making it a great option for all divers.

About 3km south of the Catalina Islands you can find this pinnacle. It has shallow parts and also deeper parts. It’s not recommended for the first open water dive for basic divers but can be done as an extra dive is the diver is comfortable. Generally the dive goes around the rock sticking out of the water.

The dive site is ideal for beginners as in between the rocks is a shallow sandy patch. Currents however can sometimes make it difficult to stay in the sand patch. Around the southern end are a lot of channels and it might be difficult to find your way around. Depths are anywhere between 7- 28 meters.
