John Dory

The John Dory (Zenopsis conchifera) is a popular fish species found in the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. This laterally compressed marine fish has very distinct characteristics, including large eyes, long, distinguished spines on the dorsal fin, and a feathered-looking caudal fin. John Dory also have a large dark spot in the center of its rounded body called an ’eye spot’ used to confuse prey.
