Decompression Diving

Decompression Diving

The SSI Decompression Diving specialty will teach you how to dive beyond no-decompression limits. You will learn to plan and execute dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your total recreational diving system and a single decompression tank. You will learn and practice how to efficiently use the features of your dive computer, including gas changes, gas integration, reserve time, and time to surface. Using these computer functions will become second nature, allowing you to perform limited decompression dives without hours of dive planning. Upon completion, you will receive the SSI Decompression Diving Specialty certification and will be able to explore stunning deep dive sites or larger shipwrecks without being restricted by traditional no-decompression limits. The opportunities to expand your diving adventures just got bigger!
