The SSI Independent Diver Specialty Course is a course designed to train divers to dive independently without compromising safety. The key word for this course will be "self-sufficiency". We will train you to be aware of your personal and environmental condition at all times. You will learn how to properly plan a dive, observe and adhere to personal restrictions and how to prevent accidents in and out of the water. Who is this program for? The SSI Independent Diver course is commonly sought after by experienced underwater photographers and videographers who desire personal freedom underwater. If you have 75 logged dives or more and would like to learn what independent diving entails, you can enroll in the course. You will become a reliable diver in a team that is always a strong and reassuring presence for everyone. This course is very popular in combination with the sidemount course, which allows you to dive with two diving tanks.

The SSI Altitude Diving program provides students with basic knowledge and skills needed to safely dive at elevations above 300 meters.

To shorten your surface intervals and extend your dive time, participate in the Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty program. As a nitrox diver, you can enjoy longer and safer decompression-free times and shorter surface intervals. You'll be able to spend more time exploring your favorite dive sites and less time waiting to dive. It's the perfect program to minimize fatigue and make the most of your dive time, especially if you're planning multiple dives per day. In addition to learning new diving skills, you will expand your knowledge and learn how to plan and safely execute a dive with enriched air mixtures with up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion of the course, you will receive SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification with 32% or 40%.

Sidemount Diving is now common practice for many wreck and cave divers. More and more divers are discovering the benefits of this method of diving without a heavy bottle on their back, which provides greater freedom and a new feeling when balancing. Easy pre-dive handling, with individual bottles being carried and prepared more easily. Subsequent transport to the water and the dive itself is simply more enjoyable than the twin on the back.

The fascinating ocean and its life. Gain a complete understanding of marine life, the ocean and its effects on the entire planet. During the SSI Marine Ecology course, you will learn how marine organisms interact with each other, the links between different ecosystems and become a little underwater naturalist. Upon completion of the program, you will receive SSI Marine Ecology certification.

The SSI Extended Range Foundations program provides all divers with the opportunity to expand their advanced diving skills and knowledge. Learn about using tec equipment with any diving system you are certified for and build on your basic skills to master balance, trim, fin techniques, positioning and communication. The Extended Range Foundations program provides supplemental training to existing certifications to increase diver confidence and control in the water. Upon completion of this program, you will earn the SSI Extended Range Foundations certification.

This globally recognized training program is the best way to start your lifelong adventure as a certified diver. One-on-one instruction is combined with in-water training, giving you the skills and experience needed to feel truly comfortable underwater. Upon completion of the course, you will be certified as an SSI Open Water Diver.

If you love diving but are satisfied with diving under the supervision of an SSI professional to a maximum depth of 12m, the Scuba Diver course is for you. The SSI Scuba Diver course will provide you with the knowledge and training to dive to a maximum depth of 12m. under the direct supervision of an SSI professional. The student will undergo partial Open Water Diver training during the training.

Independent diver in purpose-built pools or aquariums. The SSI Indoor Diver course is designed primarily for those who do not wish to dive in open water but are attracted to working in aquariums or pools for example, taking photographs, filming or perhaps cleaning. During the training, the student will go through practically the entire training of the Open Water Diver course, except for the open water training. Upon completion of the program, you will be certified as an SSI Indoor Diver.

The SSI Perfect Buoyancy specialty is the best way to improve your buoyancy and get the most from every dive. Buoyancy is an essential dive skill, but any diver will tell you it takes time to perfect. The Perfect Buoyancy specialty will teach you advanced buoyancy skills and techniques, so you can master your buoyancy more quickly and enjoy more relaxed dive adventures. In this fascinating program, you will also learn new skills that protect the environment and work in every diving situation. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty certification. With better buoyancy skills, you will soon be able to hover with ease and take the underwater photographs you dream of!

In the SSI Basic Diver program, you will learn the skills and knowledge you need to try diving up to 12 meters deep with an SSI Professional. It is a great way to explore the underwater world more fully as you try diving. The entire Basic Diver program can be credited towards the Scuba Diver or Open Water Dive programs within 6 months, so you can take the next step in your dive adventure.

The SSI Referral Diver program provides students with the knowledge and training necessary to dive autonomously with an equally- or more-qualified buddy in a pool/confined water environment equivalent with their training until they can complete their open water training. A student that completes all the academic sections and pool/confined water sessions for the Open Water Diver program can be issued the Referral Diver digital card with the intent of completing their open water training dives at a later date, and/or with another SSI Training Center.

The SSI Try Scuba program is the best way to try scuba diving for the first time. You'll dive in confined water where you'll be well looked after by your instructor, so you can enjoy an unforgettable first breath underwater and the magic of diving. At the end of this short course, you'll get your first SSI Try Scuba card and be guaranteed to want to dive again. SSI's specialized Diver Stress and Rescue program teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to recognize stress, how to prevent accidents, and learn practical techniques for performing rescue procedures and providing emergency assistance. Through a combination of pool and open water training, you will be well prepared and confident in dealing with emergency and rescue situations. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification.

SSI's Decompression Diving specialty teaches you how to perform dives beyond the limit without decompression diving. You will learn how to plan and execute dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational complete dive system and one decompression bottle. You will learn and practice how to effectively use dive computer functions including gas changes, gas integration, time to reserve and time to surface. Using these dive computer features will become second nature to you, allowing you to safely perform limited decompression dives without many hours of dive planning. Upon completion, you will be certified as an SSI Decompression Diving Specialty and will be able to explore amazing deep dive sites or larger wrecks without being constrained by traditional non-decompression limits.
