Specialty Instructor Navigation

This specialty course provides you with the knowledge and advanced skills you need to navigate safely and confidently underwater. You will learn the correct use of the compass, natural navigation techniques, estimating distances, leaving and returning to a given point and simple navigation patterns. You will also learn how to combine navigation techniques to optimize your diving experience. All of this will sharpen your underwater observation skills, increase your diving safety and help you get the most out of every dive. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Navigation Specialty certification.

As a deep diver, you have the unique opportunity to explore some of the world's best dive sites and most popular marine life. There is so much waiting for you in the deep blue sea. In a balanced combination of theory sessions and open water dives, the SSI Deep Diving Specialty course will teach you everything you need for dives between 18 and 40 meters. You will learn how to plan and safely conduct your deep diving adventures and how to get the most out of your deep dives with the help of dive computers and gas consumption calculations. Upon completion of the course, you will receive your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification and be able to explore the most beautiful deep dive sites wherever you want. This SSI Specialty is also a prerequisite for other advanced training courses, making it the next logical step in your diving education.

Independent Diving This course is designed for experienced divers who wish to develop their underwater independence and dive safely without a buddy. The course provides the necessary knowledge, skills and mental preparation to plan, conduct and complete dives independently, with a central focus on risk management, redundant equipment, advanced dive planning and the safe handling of potential emergency situations without the immediate assistance of a buddy. You will learn to precisely calculate your gas supply, manage failures and make informed decisions underwater. The training combines theoretical content with practical open water dives in which you will train independent procedures under the supervision of a diving instructor and significantly increase your personal safety. The aim is to develop a high level of control, self-confidence and responsibility when diving. After successful completion, you will be certified to dive alone, provided this is permitted locally and the conditions allow it.
