Start today - You need to be a Divemaster or equivalent to join SSI's 3-Step Instructor Training Approach. The training process begins with enrollment in the combined Assistant Instructor / Instructor Training Course accompanied by digital learning. Upon successful completion of the Instructor Training Course (ITC), you will enroll in an Instructor Evaluation (IE) to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. This 10-day training program qualifies you to independently teach several key SSI programs, such as Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue and Dive Guide. DIVEMASTER COURSE Your first professional step into the amazing world of scuba diving. The Dive Master course at Pura Vida Pro has a duration of 4 weeks with three different sections:* Dive Theory: You will learn all about recreational diving, we prepare you to increase your knowledge by giving you readings from each section of the diving encyclopedia and a final exam.* In-water practice: We do several circuits of exercises for you to achieve the mastery of a professional in order to facilitate the learning process for anyone who wants to enter the underwater world. In our 4-day intensive course you will be prepared and ready to work as an Assistant Instructor. * Prerequisites before starting the course: Minimum age: 18 years. You must have 60 demonstrable dives in your log book. You must have the Divemaster certification or equivalent. Computer or Tablet to be able to follow the classes. React Right is SSI's emergency first responder course and provides the knowledge and practical skills to act as a first responder in a medical emergency. In this flexible course, you can choose your subject areas, such as initial assessment, first aid, CPR and stabilization techniques. You will learn more about administering emergency oxygen and using the defibrillator (AED). With a combination of theory and practical exercise scenarios, this course will give you important tools and confidence to provide emergency assistance. The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty course is the best course to learn how to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to recognize stress, avoid accidents and apply practical techniques for performing rescues and emergency care. With a combination of pool and open water training, you will be well and safely prepared to deal with emergency and rescue situations. After completing the course, you will receive the SSI Diver Stress & Rescue Specialty certification.

Take an Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty course if you want to shorten your surface intervals and extend your dive time. You'll spend more time exploring your favorite dive sites instead of waiting! With the course you will expand your diving knowledge to plan safe dives with enriched air mixtures up to 40% oxygen. After completing the course, you will receive an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification for 32% or 40%.

Through online learning and open water and confined water dives, the SSI Scuba Diver course provides you with the perfect foundation to become an independent and safe diver. You will learn everything you need for open water dives to a maximum depth of 12 meters together with an SSI Professional. With this course you will complete about half of the Open Water Diver course and can upgrade your certification later. All you have to do is complete the remaining theory and limited open water units as well as two open water training dives.

If you're having trouble deciding which specialty programs are the best choice for you, join SSI's Advanced Open Water Diver program! This program allows you to try a variety of specialties before enrolling in full specialty programs. It's an excellent opportunity to experience what advanced dive training is all about and discover how valuable it can be in your underwater adventures. During the Advanced Open Water Diver program, you will try 5 different specialties. For each specialty you choose, you'll do a full briefing with your SSI Instructor and then conduct an open water training dive. In this specialty-focused tryout program, you'll have total freedom to explore. This program will allow you to take full specialty programs at any time and credit your Advanced Open Water Diver training during enrollment.
