Dive Guide Course

Would you like to turn the ocean into your workplace? We offer guidance of experienced instructors, an individual approach, a high level of professionalism, and most importantly dozens of dive sites and loads of fun! During the DM internship, you will complete the Science of diving specialty and get additional diving knowledge to be able to assist with the SSI courses and be able to conduct excursion dives with Open Water Diver students. Additionally, you will be able to qualify as a training specialist for ecology courses. You will spend the extra time learning about the work in the dive center. You'll join us at our dives, you will get hands-on experience with everyday operations at the center, get a lot of practice working with real customers and we’ll make sure to push your diving skills to another level. We will guide you through your internship with helpful tips for your future career. The requirements for this course is to be a Dive Guide with 60 logged dives but don’t worry, if you need to, we can get you there before you start. SSI Dive Guide is the first professional level in diving. You learn how to lead certified divers and conduct snorkeling tours. SSI Divemaster is the second professional level in diving with more theoretical diving knowledge required. You can do the same as Dive Guide plus you will be able to assist on SSI courses and can become an ecology programs training specialist. This level is a prerequisite for assistant instructor rating and for other continuing professional diving education programs. We try to conduct our courses based on an individual approach to fulfill the different needs of each of the candidates. We can offer to teach you how to be a dive professional from A to B, meaning that at the end of your internship you would know everything from compressor usage to customer service. The SSI Scuba Diver program, which utilizes online instruction, confined space dives and open water dives, is the perfect foundation for gaining diver confidence and safety. With an SSI professional, you'll learn everything you need to dive in open water to depths of up to 12 meters. In this program, you will complete almost half of the training in the Open Water Diver course and can easily increase your certification. Just complete the remaining academic lessons and confined water training and two open water training dives.

If you can't decide which specialty is the best choice for you, sign up for the SSI Advanced Open Water Diver program! In this program, you can try out different specializations before deciding on the fully specialized programs. It's a great way to get a feel for what advanced diver training entails and how valuable it can be to your diving adventures. During the Advanced Open Water Diver program, you will try 5 different specializations. In each specialization, you will complete one open water training dive after a detailed briefing with an SSI instructor. With this trial program of specializations, you will have complete freedom when diving. At any time in the future, you can take the complete specialization programs and count your Advanced Open Water Diver training towards them.

In the SSI Basic Diver program, you'll learn the skills and knowledge you need to try diving down to 12 meters with an SSI professional. It's a great way to try scuba diving and explore the underwater world around you more thoroughly. The entire Basic Diver program can be counted towards the Scuba Diver or Open Water Dive programs over the next 6 months, so you can easily continue your diving adventure.

The SSI Try Scuba program is the best way to try scuba diving for the first time. You'll dive in confined water where you'll be well looked after by your instructor, so you can enjoy an unforgettable first breath underwater and the magic of diving. At the end of this short course, you'll get your first SSI Try Scuba card and be guaranteed to want to dive again. This globally recognized training program is the best way to start your lifelong adventure as a certified diver. One-on-one instruction is combined with in-water training, giving you the skills and experience needed to feel truly comfortable underwater. Upon completion of the course, you will be certified as an SSI Open Water Diver.

The Divemaster program is the first step on an exciting journey. Earn the respect of your diving buddies and become a diving ambassador by completing the Divemaster program. All you need to get started is 40 logged/verified dives and certification in deep diving, navigation, night diving & limited visibility or at least 5 logged/verified dive experiences in each area plus dive load & rescue. Upon successful completion of the Divemaster program, you will be certified as a dive guide. If you are interested in turning your passion into a profession as a certified dive guide, teaching environmental programs, assisting instructors or even becoming an instructor yourself, your next step is to upgrade to Divemaster with a minimum of 60 logged/verified dives. You can upgrade to Divemaster immediately or anytime later by self-studying the Science of Diving materials and passing the digital final exam that will make you an SSI professional. Through a combination of theoretical instruction and confined water diving, you will learn how to safely conduct non-penetration wreck dives to depths of up to 30 meters. SSI's specialized Diver Stress and Rescue program teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to recognize stress, how to prevent accidents, and learn practical techniques for performing rescue procedures and providing emergency assistance. Through a combination of pool and open water training, you will be well prepared and confident in dealing with emergency and rescue situations. The SSI Snorkel Diver program is the first step to discovering your inner mermaid. SSI Specialty Instructor certification is very easy. The training is the same as for the instructor level, except that you register for each specialty seminar you would like to teach. You can also teach your desired specialty program with an experienced instructor, or you can ask SSI directly to review your experience. If you teach enough specialization programs, you automatically qualify for Advanced Open Water Instructor certification.

React Right SSI is a first aid course that provides you with the training and knowledge needed to provide first aid in the event of a medical emergency. In this flexible diving program, you can choose which topics you want to learn, including primary assessment, first aid, CPR and primary stabilization techniques.
